Sun.

A new video one of my friends did for her university project featuring one of my musical works. Some pretty film flickers, always a nice thing. I even make a little Martin Ruffin hat wearing cameo at the end if you end up watching that far. Praises be to jah.

Oh Life.

Everything is fascinating, not least my inability to record any of my own songs. At least business is a reality, i'm enjoying having the potential for sustainability increase with something i take seriously and put work into.

As it goes, I'm looking forward to making more sounds in the future, taking more joy in the company of others and existing. An EP i produced for Oh So Quiet has just hit completion, i'm starting work on an album for a friend, with various band and mixing obligations amongst others busying my ears and mind. Oceania as a record was expected to come to fruition before my actual next trip to said continent, but i'm pleased to say the opposite is a reality. Future.

Rambling for the sake of it i suppose, i might start putting up old stories and words, i have a few.

Sociable.

Today i kindly received a package of compilation CD's Alex Quaye of Box Social records put together. It's an assembly of mainly southern artists of which some are friends amongst others, and one of my songs from Fuck Crz is featured. It's a welcome DIY effort involved in putting things like this together, and Alex and the others involved work hard contributing to the local south east music scene in putting on good music for the sake of it, and that promotion ethic, despite being more scarce perhaps now than a few years back, is still really important to any music fan, band or artist.

You can buy said compilation for a hilariously cheap £1.50 from their Bigcartel below, there's some rad tracks on there, and it's worth supporting.

Norway.

A friend and interesting human being mentioned in passing that she was thinking of putting together a Norwegian based mixtape for the musical tape hype website she co-edits, No Fear Of Pop. Being a firm fan of idyllic Scandinavian concepts in general, i jumped at the chance to get involved, and rather than remix or cover a song by a Norwegian artist, as did the other's who contributed, i decided to remix Norway by Beach House instead(note, this choice was not in the pursuit of being different/wacky, but more a lack of understanding on my part), a fitting referential tribute in it's own right. Due to said co-editor, and woman, being hurried in assembling the zip file for this mixtape, an unfinished version got put on the final mailout, but the final version is available to listen below, as well as a link to said mixtape, entitled Omstart. It's really a beautiful collection of works that i'm proud to be amongst, hopefully some of you may enjoy it as well.
